Si Da Precision will exhibit new products for spindle moving automatic lathe
Sida Precision has introduced two innovative models for spindle-moving automatic lathes: the "ECAS-20T Type A" and "ECAS-20T Type B." These cutting-edge machines will make their debut at the prestigious EMO Hannover 2007, held from September 17 to 22, 2007. The products are set for a full-scale launch in March 2008, promising advanced performance and efficiency for precision machining.
With a maximum machining diameter of 20mm and a spindle table movement of up to 350mm, these lathes are designed for high-precision operations. The spindle can rotate at an impressive speed of 10,000 rpm, ensuring fast and accurate processing. Both the front and rear spindles are equipped with motors that deliver 3.7 kW of continuous power, enabling simultaneous turning, milling, beveling, and deep hole drilling using oil-hole drills on both sides.
The ECAS-20T Type B offers additional flexibility by allowing the rear spindle table to move vertically relative to the center, making it ideal for handling eccentric or complex-shaped components. This feature significantly enhances the machine's versatility for intricate manufacturing tasks.
On the tooling side, the front of the machine is fitted with a tower-type tool magazine controlled by the X/Y axes of the spindle center. This allows for simultaneous turning and milling using left and right hexagonal rotors. The backside also features a similar tower-type magazine, controlled by the same two-axis system, which helps reduce processing time on both sides of the workpiece. The front and back turrets can accommodate a total of eight tools, including ferrules, sleeves, and rotary cutters, offering a wide range of machining options.
The new model boasts a fast feed rate of 30m/min, which is 1.7 times faster than its predecessor. The integration of CNC functions reduces the calculation time of the spindle, thereby minimizing non-cutting time. Additionally, the switching and processing time between control systems have been optimized, resulting in a 30% reduction in overall processing time compared to the previous model, the ECAS-32T.
To ensure stability and accuracy, the ECAS-20T is equipped with a dedicated spindle cooling unit. This system effectively suppresses thermal deformation caused by heat generated during operation. It also incorporates a cutting oil cooling device to manage the temperature rise from the rotating cutter and the cutting fluid. Furthermore, the use of an energy-saving hydraulic system lowers standby power consumption. As a result, the energy consumption per unit component is reduced by up to 37% compared to the older model, making this machine not only more efficient but also more environmentally friendly.
