DAF's "Fidelio" cabinet ship recently launched the first port of Hamburg

The container ship "CMA CGM Fidelio," operated by CMA CGM, recently arrived at the port of Hamburg. This massive vessel is among the largest in service globally, with a capacity of 9,415 TEU. Built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea, the ship measures 349 meters in length and 42.3 meters in width, with a maximum draft of 14.5 meters. It is currently en route to France and Asia along the FAL 1 route and will later be deployed on the FAL 2 route, which involves cooperation with China Shipping. The FAL 1 route has a scheduled sailing time of 56 days. The ports of call include Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Zeebrugge, Southampton, Malta, Khor Fakkan, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Port Klang, and back to Malta. This route plays a key role in connecting European markets with Asian destinations. In June, DAF placed an order for four additional container ships, each with a capacity of 9,600 TEUs. These vessels are expected to be delivered in 2009, further expanding the company's fleet and enhancing its global shipping capabilities. With the increasing demand for efficient maritime transport, such large-scale investments highlight the ongoing growth and development in the container shipping industry.
