Taiyuan Heavy Industry's Ten Thousand-Yuan Press Project Steel Casting System Officially Launched
On August 25, after two years of construction, the domestically-developed project for too-large-scale castings and forgings (referred to as the “Tanji Press Projectâ€) was officially put into production, which can satisfy the large steel castings required for the Taizhong Group's machine products. Heavy steel ingots cover the needs of large-scale castings and steel ingots in military, nuclear power, thermal power, hydropower, marine, forging, steel rolling, heavy-duty vessels, and petrochemical industries. The project has added 12,500 tons of hydraulic presses and large-scale matching key equipment, which will greatly increase the heat processing capacity that is too heavy, fill the gaps in the presses of 10,000 tons in North China and Northwest China, and comprehensively upgrade the quality and level of Shanxi's equipment manufacturing industry. At present, the key equipment for the forging heat treatment system, the 12,500-ton hydraulic press, has completed the installation of the main structure and entered the commissioning stage.
