This is from Steve Redick: I arrived at the scene early Saturday evening. The smoke conditions were decent as I was driving down the street, but it had mostly cleared by the time I got into position. I believe this was an attic fire, and it was brought under control using a large exterior line. Two additional crosslays were also deployed. It was interesting to see the truck—a quint—operating as an engine, supplying all the lines. I’m guessing they might have been the first on scene, or maybe they were short an engine for some reason. I’ve always found these types of operations fascinating. From where I was standing, there wasn’t much to see, but it sounds like this was a solid response.
