Volkswagen AG has recently announced in Argentina the pickup Amarok, which is scheduled to be produced in the country.
It is reported that VW's investment in Amarok production in Argentina is approximately 1.6 billion pesos (US$418 million), of which the European Investment Bank will provide approximately US$243.9 million and the rest will be raised by the public. The automobile production plant is about 40 kilometers from Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
Amarok is about 5.26 meters long and 1.94 meters wide. It is designed in Germany and has a load of 1 ton. It has a high standard of safety and low energy consumption.
It is reported that Volkswagen presented the Amarok 122CV and 163CV at the launch ceremony held at the Argentine factory. It is expected that Amarok will be launched next year.
