House fire in Clinton, WI 81/31/7

I was on my way home from Monroe, Wisconsin, after attending the fire school. As I passed through Rockford, the Clinton Fire Department responded to a MABAS Box Alarm for a house fire. Upon arrival, they saw heavy smoke coming from the C&D corner, which was a back porch right off the kitchen. The structure was a 2½-story wood-frame house, approximately 30 by 50 feet.

Being a balloon-frame construction, the fire had already spread to the first and second floors, as well as the attic. A firefighter and the state fire marshal were called to the scene to assist with the investigation and firefighting efforts.
