Ray Owen: We showed the pure electric Teng potential model, there are two versions of fashion version and distinguished version. Shown today is the distinguished version of the model, with blue and white.
Q: Is production now available?
Lei Erwen: Now the production line in Shenzhen is already a mass production line. Today's models on display are produced on this production line. At present, our production line is in perfect condition to prepare for sales.
Q: The Teng potential concept car was released in 2012. At that time, there was news that the company would mass-produce in 2014. Is it now this car?
Lei Erwen: Two years ago, the concept car more reveals our concept of design and visual aspects. It first publishes to the media and publicizes the change of driving style of the new energy vehicle. At that time, the concept car was not equipped with batteries. The new car in 2014 had already installed the battery at the bottom of the car and was completely isolated from the passenger compartment, which would provide better passenger comfort for the rear passengers.
Of course, these two cars are not exactly the same in every detail, but the design concept and original purpose of this concept car are fully reflected in the production car.
Q: Has the price been announced? Can you enjoy local subsidy policies?
Lei Erwen: At the press conference this afternoon, we announced that the final price of the fashion version is RMB 369,000, which is the price without calculation subsidies. As for the subsidy policy, there is definitely no problem in Shenzhen. This is our base. Teng Shi has now passed the certification of Beijing local government, can enter the Beijing market, and received national and local subsidies, the final price in the Beijing market is 255,000 yuan. Last week we passed Shanghai certification and we can also enjoy this policy.
Of course, there are also licensing policies that have advantages in Beijing and Shanghai. In Beijing, it can be separated from the ordinary license plate number. There is a special license for new energy vehicles. There is no license fee in Shanghai. This value is equivalent to 80,000 yuan.
Q: As a pure electric car, what is the charging plan for this car? How high is the charging cost?
Ray Owen: We will provide customers with solutions for charging is a wide range of different options, depending on the needs of customers. Customers can choose to charge in public charging places or use home power at home. In addition, we have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with ABB, the world's leading technology group, and they will provide a wall-rechargeable cartridge solution. For large customers and business consumers, we will also provide faster solutions, such as full power within an hour.
Q: How can I ensure that the damage to the battery is minimized in the case of fast charging?
Ray Owen: This is a problem that many customers are most concerned about. We will ensure that this problem does not occur before we make it to market. We are confident to say that the battery of this car does not need to be replaced during the life of the vehicle.
We use BYD's world-leading battery manufacturing and production technology. Nowadays, technology can guarantee that rapid charging will not damage the battery. In order to verify the short-term charging damage to the battery, we conducted a variety of experiments. At present, all the verification results show that the battery is working well during rapid charging and will not bring customers the risk of battery replacement.
Q: Does BYD only provide battery technology?
