Application of Quartet V560 Frequency Converter in Film Blowing Machine

Abstract: This article describes the successful application of the Quartet V560 vector converter in the film blowing machine.

It is mainly composed of two parts: blown film and winding. The role of the winding part is to wind the blown film into a roll, and to make the rolled film smooth and wrinkle-free. The curling is neat, and the film on the reel needs to be moderately tight so as to prevent the film from stretching and ensure the quality. Therefore, constant tension control must be used when winding. At present, the industry mainly uses a torque motor to achieve the above control, but in the use process there is a need for manual adjustment, inconvenient operation, long-time operation when the torque motor heat is high, the controller is easily damaged, the reliability is not high shortcomings . This article will be combined with the Quartet V560 frequency converter to introduce a constant tension control system for the blown film winding machine, while ensuring the winding process can significantly improve the equipment's ease of operation and reliability.

Second, blown film winding process introduction 1. A constant tension must be maintained throughout the winding process and no manual adjustment is required;

2. When the empty roll starts, the tension cannot be too large to prevent the film from wrinkling. When the full disk is running, the tension cannot be too small to prevent the film from taking up too much.

3. The system responds sensitively, and can be quickly adjusted during the acceleration and deceleration process according to the change of the front speed and tension to ensure the tension is constant;

4. It is required to quantify the tension, that is, the tension can be set according to the process requirements of different film production.

In response to the above requirements, the following control system was designed using the V560 frequency converter.

Third, the program introduced as shown in Figure 1, the constant tension control winding, is the process according to the system winding required tension and empty, full coil diameter set to the tension card, tension card based on the operating speed, calculate the current Roll diameter, and then get the torque required to wind and give it to the inverter, and then the torque control by the inverter. During the winding process, the system can automatically calculate the current roll diameter in real time to ensure that the winding tension is constant. At the same time, the tension taper of the system can make the material curl forming better.

IV. System Block Diagram, Wiring Diagram and Control Principles The system block diagram is shown in Figure 2 below:

The winding inverter adopts closed-loop vector mode, and the settling voltage (analog input AI1 of the winding inverter) is reached by the analog potentiometer. The line speed is connected to the AI2 of the winding inverter by the AO1 analog output terminal of the traction inverter (4~ 20mA).

During system operation, according to the current line speed, operating frequency, tension, and tension taper, the coil diameter is automatically calculated and the output torque is adjusted in real time to ensure that the tension of the film during the winding process is constant.

V. Concluding remarks This paper introduces a constant tension winding control system based on the V560 vector type inverter. This solution makes the tension of the film in the winding process very stable and can change according to the speed of the front stage and the tension during the winding process. Automatic adjustment, for the model with multiple winding systems can also achieve a smooth switch between each other, the entire system is stable and reliable, has been successfully applied to a number of blown film winding system.
