On December 7, ABB announced that it will supply Shaanxi Fuping Intelligent Substation with a 363 kV high voltage isolated circuit breaker with a full-fiber current transformer. The circuit breaker set "isolation, open circuit, current measurement," the three substation functions in one, so that substation covers an area of ​​70% reduction. At the same time, it is also the first isolated circuit breaker with fiber-optic current transformers in this high-voltage class in the world. As a part of SGCC's plan to build a new generation of smart substation projects, Shaanxi Fuping Smart Substation will provide power to the fast-growing industrial belt around Fuping County in Shaanxi Province. The project aims to utilize state-of-the-art technology to enable remote control, protection, automation, monitoring and analysis of substations and to reduce operating costs, footprint and environmental impact.
