The State Oceanic Administration’s Jidong Marine Environmental Forecasting Station released the first wave of Class III warning and storm surge news this year at 21:00 on the evening of the 30th. The alert said that due to the impact of Tropical Storm No. 8 “Nanchuan”, it is expected that from midnight to tomorrow during the day, there will be a mid-to-high wave of 2.0-3.0 meters along the coast of Ningde in Fujian, which will increase to 2.5-3.5 meters from next morning; the coast of Fuzhou There is a mid-wave of 1.5-2.0 meters, and it will increase to 2.0-3.0 meters from next morning; the fisheries in Longdong and the fishing grounds in northeastern Fujian have large-to-large waves of 3.0-4.5 meters.

At the same time, there will be a 50-70 cm storm surge along the Ningde coast and a 20-40 cm storm surge along the coast of Fuzhou. As the astronomical negligible period is coming into effect, each of the above-mentioned shore tide stations will not show any climax higher than the local warning tide level.
