The integrated technology integrates underwater granulation, drying, and crystallization, and controls the temperature of the material precisely throughout the entire process to prevent production and quality problems caused by insufficient crystallization and excessive non-crystalline particles. According to the actual commercial production, Nordson BKG calculates that the energy efficiency of the crystallization system is extremely high, saving more than 3 million euros in energy costs per year for a standard PET resin plant, and saving nearly 20 percent in an PET recycling line. The short distance between the die and the dryer is the key to heat retention during melt processing. When the particles leave the dryer into the shaker, the temperature is between 150°C and 160°C. Particles continue to move, making the heat evenly distributed and preventing sticking. When the entire process is completed, the particle temperature is approximately 180°C and the crystallinity is as high as 40%, which allows direct access to the SSP device.
