The "300t/a high-performance spherical nickel hydroxide" developed by the Beijing Nonferrous Metal Research Institute has passed technical appraisal. Experts believe that the project has developed a new pipeline-integrated wet process with independent intellectual property rights. The process can complete crystal nuclei formation, crystal growth, and particle size control in a continuous reaction system using a single reactor. It also uniquely inhibits colloidal generation, rapid crystal growth, and periodic nuclear generation, setting the draft tube, and pH value. Technologies such as on-line inspection have solved the consistency and stability of spherical nickel hydroxide production and the consistency of comprehensive performance among batches of products. They are obviously superior to related technologies at home and abroad and have reached the international advanced level. They have won 4 national inventions. patent.
The high-performance spherical nickel hydroxide engineering technology developed by this project has the features of automatic control, closed-loop continuous, environment-friendly and comprehensive utilization of resources, and meets the requirements of national environmental protection. According to the national statutory unit inspection certificate, the spherical nickel hydroxide products produced using this result have reached the international advanced level in terms of physical and chemical properties and electrochemical performance. The product has been tested and approved by well-known domestic and foreign companies such as Matsushita Electric Co., Ltd. and purchased in bulk. With this technology, 20 300t/a high-performance spherical nickel hydroxide continuous production lines have been built, with an accumulated production capacity of 6,000t/a. As of July 2005, the cumulative total production value has exceeded 1 billion yuan, and foreign exchange earned has reached 8 million. The dollar has achieved great economic and social benefits.
