In February of this year, the National Development and Reform Commission's Price Supervision and Inspection and Anti-Monopoly Bureau began a peripheral investigation on the vertical monopoly of auto parts. How does the Ministry of Communications break the monopoly

At present, China's vehicle manufacturers only license the accessories and car maintenance and repair technology information to the brand's 4S shop, other social car repair plants simply can not get, so consumers will have a lack of trust in the social car repair factory when repairing the car, It has caused unfair competition in the market and thus formed a monopoly. The "EU461 Regulations" clearly stipulate that vehicle manufacturers must not restrict the production of spare parts to the aftermarket. Therefore, the "Opinions" correspondingly put forward: "Encourage original parts manufacturers to provide original parts and independent aftermarket parts with their own brands, trademarks and logos to the automotive aftermarket."

It is reported that the vehicle manufacturers themselves produce 20% of parts and components, especially key components such as engines and chassis. The "EU461 Regulations" stipulate that in order to guarantee fair competition in the maintenance market, authorized maintenance companies are obliged to resell and provide original parts to unauthorized independent maintenance companies, but the resale is for maintenance purposes. Therefore, the "Opinions" proposed that "encourage authorized maintenance companies to resell and provide original parts to non-authorized maintenance enterprises." "Opinions" also pointed out: "We must implement national laws and regulations to ensure that all maintenance companies enjoy the use of homogeneous parts maintenance. The right of the car.” The so-called homogenous parts refer to the parts produced by third-party companies for maintenance, but the quality must be comparable to the original parts. The homogenous fittings must be high-quality accessories, but the price is lower than the original accessories. At present, auto parts purchase parts are not expensive, but they will be sold to 4S stores at a price higher than the cost. 4S stores will set higher prices and sell them to consumers, thus earning monopoly profits.

The development of homogenous accessories, the original parts provided by the vehicle manufacturers will have alternatives, the original parts have to lower the price, otherwise it will lose the market. In addition, consumers and maintenance companies have the right to choose and use homogeneous accessories. Suppliers of homogeneous accessories can set up brands, establish core technologies, and compete directly with OEMs, and brand awareness will gradually increase, which will facilitate direct launch into the automotive aftermarket.
