Sevan-Korea Shipyard develops "cylindrical" FLNG
Norway's Sevan Marine ASA and South Korea's large shipyards began research on the construction of a "cylindrical" floating LNG production storage and offloading unit (FLNG).
At present, in order to carry out more than 20 FLNG projects, related marketing has begun. The FLNG design has been positively evaluated by the International Petroleum Corporation (IOC), and its Conceptual Design project has also ended.
The relevant cylindrical FLNG will soon have a total of 2.4MTPA (2.4 million tons per year) and 220,000mm3 storage capacity, and introduce the "HiLoad" of LNG LNG's liquefied natural gas (LNG) water loading and unloading technology. Moreover, natural gas liquefaction technology will introduce KANFA Aragon's Dual Nitrogen Expansion technology.
For the related cylindrical FLNG new project, Sevan Marine is currently conducting a “Constructability Study†project with a large Korean shipyard.
Sevan Marine has successfully developed the world's first cylindrical FLNG that does not require Turret and Swivel solutions.
