    Magnetic separation column developed in 1994 by the Anshan University of Science and Technology, since its practical application, has been in large, medium and small magnetic iron ore beneficiation plant to use more than 300 units. It is mainly used in the last stage of the selection of large, medium and small magnetite ore dressing plants, lifting iron and reducing impurities (including SiO 2 and other gangue minerals, etc.), the effect is very obvious, the grade improvement is generally 2%~7 %. Although the role of the magnetic separation column is to improve the quality and reduce impurities, it actually contains very obvious energy saving, reducing consumption and reducing the cost of concentrate.
Magnetic column structure and sorting principle: Since the magnetic separation column has been applied since 1994, the first one is the improvement of the main body; the second is the operation from manual adjustment operation to intelligent automatic adjustment operation. The current intelligent magnetic separation column is composed of a main part, a power supply electric control cabinet and an automatic control system. The magnetic separation column belongs to an electromagnetic weak magnetic field magnetic weight concentrator, with magnetic force as the main and gravity as the auxiliary.
Separation principle: The magnetic separation column is excited by the DC control cabinet, and the reciprocating magnetic field is formed in the sorting chamber of the magnetic separation column. The magnetic force is moved downward in the sequence, and the magnetic group is strongly dispersed after being pulled down several times. Or a magnetic flux, which is driven by a relatively strong rotating rising water stream to a magnetic separation column tailings (middle mine) which is mainly composed of a continuous body and contains a part of monomeric gangue and slime. The smart magnetic column structure is shown in the figure below.
Due to the special excitation mechanism, the machine allows the rising water flow rate to be as high as 2~6cm/s. The structure is simple, there are no moving parts, the power consumption is low, and the grade is greatly improved. The pass-through and rod-type magnetite concentration sensors are used to collect the concentrate and tailings concentration signals respectively, and the concentration values ​​are respectively displayed through the self-control cabinet, and compared with the given concentration values, the automatic opening and closing of the concentrate valve is realized. And the automatic adjustment of the magnetic field strength, to maintain the optimization of the selection parameters, to achieve the best value of the indicator.

By utilizing the high-efficiency selection function of the magnetic separation column, the concentrate grade is appropriately increased, and the coarse grinding grain size is appropriately adjusted, thereby realizing the effect of increasing the grade and increasing the yield, thereby greatly increasing the profit.
Selecting or replacing most of the reverse flotation selection with magnetic column selection has better selectivity, which not only reduces or eliminates drug consumption, power consumption, heat consumption, etc., but also improves filtration and circulating water. Quality, relieve or greatly reduce the phenomenon of pipe fouling. Compared with the reverse flotation selection, the equipment and infrastructure investment is slightly lower, and the operating expenses are significantly reduced.
